With a professional background that has required managing complex projects, competing priorities, and countless details, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for organization and thoughtful systems. From supporting myself through college to completing my PhD, organization has been an essential part of how I’ve managed demanding goals alongside the responsibilities of everyday life.

As the owner of Organized by Erica LLC, I’m bringing my experience and passion for organization to a new venture focused on helping people create more functional, comfortable spaces. My approach is compassionate, practical, and empowering, recognizing that our belongings often carry emotional significance and that organizing can feel especially difficult during busy or challenging seasons of life.

my organizing philosophy

I believe that getting organized doesn’t always mean buying more things. Whenever possible, I’ll work with what you already have to create solutions that are functional, sustainable, and tailored to the way you live. My goal is to help you regain a sense of order and feel more comfortable in your spaces.

Together, we’ll sort through what you have, make thoughtful decisions about what you want and need, find practical ways to store the things you choose to keep, and create systems that make your spaces easier to use and maintain.

rooted in community

Originally from Stroudsburg, PA, in the Pocono Mountains, I graduated from Old Dominion University with a PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2021. I’ve taught sociology and criminal justice courses in higher education, and worked at Tennessee Tech University prior to moving to NOVA.

I live in Broadlands with my husband, who is a music teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools. We’re happy to call this community home, and I’m excited to build my business in the NOVA community.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching football, reading, bowling, spending time in nature, exercising at Ida Lee Recreation Center, and supporting local small businesses.

Whether it’s one room, an entire home, your car, or a major life transition, my goal is to help you reclaim your space so you can use it, enjoy it, and feel more at ease in it.
